Programme
The programme is designed to be interactive and directly address the situation of the universities attending the workshop by contextualising the specific situation in the Gulf region. The workshop will be supported by three prominent speakers:
Dr. Susanna Karakhanyan
Dr. Susanna is the President of the International Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) and the Quality Assurance Section Manager of the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC). She is also one of the reviewers of EQAA.
Prof. Dionyssis Kladis
Prof. Dionyssis is professor emeritus in higher education policy. He has been the State Secretary for education in the Ministry of Education of Greece. Besides teaching and research into higher education, he has been very active internationally in quality assurance and served as a reviewer in many universities in Europe and beyond. He is also a reviewer for EQAA.
Prof. Bastian Baumann
Prof. Bastian is the Managing Director of EQAA. He has been active in international higher education for more than 15 years, with a specific focus on Europe, the Arab World, Central Asia and Latin America. He also works as a consultant for national authorities and individual universities, focusing on quality assurance, strategic development and student-centred learning.
